SEPTEMBER 7 : momma and pappa have and old vw bus named wanna. it has been sitting in our driveway, unused to for two years now. pappa told momma, okay it is time. so farfar, momma, and i washed her up really good. i was very involved in the washing of wanna, had to get every inch of her clean. then we put an ad in the buy and sell website here in sweden, of course with a picture of me washing her, and what do you know three hours later she was sold! i think it must have had something to do with me being in the picture.

SEPTEMBER 2 : today i started wearing big girl panties. that´s right, i am a big girl now, okay so i still wear diapers at night, but hey, we all gotto start somewhere right? the only problem is that i am kinda a skinny kid and mom has now realized that it was the bulk of my diapers that was holding up my trousers! can everybody say hello to zoe´s bum?

AUGUST 30 : our big bi-annual crayfish party. wow, i sure have eaten a lot of crayfish this month, momma has certainly gotten quicker at peeling them for me, but she said that next year i have to peel my own. suzy and mark, who i had so much fun with in honduras and guatemala, flew all the way in from england, maya and her folks came too, along with ida and linus and their folks, and a bunch more of my parent´s friends. it was a lot of fun, we had a big fire in the middle of the yard and linus put on a fire show for us. i even stayed up and 2330! party on!

AUGUST 24 : farmor is really good at making ceramics, you can see some at her website, so she had a tent at a local crafts fair, so we went down and momma and pappa took pictures while i had lots of fun playing with my cousins emma and moa. then we all went to farmor and farfar´s house for crayfish and fun.

AUGUST 15 : pappa´s really good old friend fredrik came by for a visit and we ate crayfish for the first time this year. oh boy, they are so yummy! pappa taught me how to suck all the juice out of them. i am not quite big enough to take away the shell yet, so i kept momma busy all evening peeling them for me.

AUGUST 5 : momma and pappa went away to work in denmark for few days so i got to go and stay with farmor and farfar. i always have so much fun with my grandparents, and of course it helps that they do not say no nearly as much as momma and pappa. we went and fed all the chicken and sheep every day, and i went to the bread factory and helped fill big bags full of bread that we then fed to the sheep. i was a really good helper.

AUGUST 2 : maya´s mama borrowed our big party tent for maya´s birthday party, so momma and i went over and helped set it up. maya and i were lots of help. we swung on the frame like monkeys just to make sure it was sturdy enough. then we took turns giving each other rides around the yard on maya´s tricycle, we had loads of fun.

JULY 26 : today pappa and i got to be super duper artistic. we painted the entry path to our house with all kinds of colors. we put in hand and foot prints. i love to paint, and i must say i am pretty good at it too.

JULY 22 : HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! that is right i hit the big twooooo! yipee! mormor, farmor, and farfar all came to my birthday party, and we had really good cake, even though mom had dropped it upside down on the floor, luckily it was still in the box when she did it, so she just covered it with strawberries to make it look good, but i was not fooled! we had yummy home made blueberry muffins as an afternoon snack, mom made them from the blueberries we picked earlier in the week, but i ate all of pappa´s muffins before he came home from work, good thing it was my birthday or he might have been mad. (yeah right, like he can be mad at me when i am so cute!). then my cousins, brandon, natalie, eric, carissa, and alexa called and wished me happy birthday, it was so fun talking them.

JULY 20 : today i decided it was time i started dressing myself. so i picked out my own outfit, let mom know that there was no way i was wearing anything else, my blue striped shirt and chinese embroidered skirt went very well together. can you believe my mom said i was stubborn. we went and watered in our neighbor´s garden today and i pranced around like a princess in my lovely outfit, and picked wild strawberries till my tummy felt like it would pop!

JULY 12 : my cousins, emma and moa are going to be in germany during my birthday this year, so they came up with their parents today instead. it was great, i got an extra birthday party. the presents were really great, but i currently have an obsessions with balloons, they take up alot of my time these days.

JULY 5 : i discovered that momma is growing rasberries in our yard, they are so yummy, but i get so mad when she does not let me pick the green ones. i was a big help today, pappa and i put in the stone tiles in the basement. pappa was very proud of what a big help i was.

JULY 1 : today in the forest i figured out that i could pick my own blueberries, and i don´t have to wait for momma and pappa to do it for me. yum. i had such a great time picking them, momma and pappa had a hard time getting very far on the walk cause i always had to stop and pick even more.

JUNE 28 : isabella and alice and their folks came up for a visit. alice and i took turns pushing each other around in my wagon, then we snuck over to the neighbors and had so much fun that our pappas came over to get us, and ended up staying cause it was just too much fun.

JUNE 25 : momma and pappa were working down in malmö this week so we stayed in bjärred with farmor and farfar. i got to see the sheep everyday! anders, cilla, emma, and moa came over for a very yummy dinner that farfar and farmor made today. i think emma is so fun to play with, she even gave me piggy back rides. yipee!

JUNE 20 : we went to maya´s house for middsommars this year. my pappa and maya´s pappa built a midsommars pole that maya, maya´s momma, my momma, and me danced around and sang songs. i filled up on potato chips whenever momma and pappa weren´t looking, busigt va?

JUNE 14 : papa helped maya´s pappa build a front porch at their house so i got to play with maya all day, we had so much fun, but totally wore each other out.

JUNE 8 : some nice warm weather came rolling in, so i spent all day playing in my pool which momma and pappa had to blow up! they both looked pretty light headed afterwards, but it was sure worth it, i love swimming.

MAY 31 : i crashed linus´ (our neighbor) birthday party. i ate up all the goodies and had a great time chasing after the balloons. happy birthday linus!

MAY 25 : today was mother´s day, i picked momma some really pretty flowers from our garden. then we went over to mormor´s house for dinner. she was really happy to see me, we even finally took a three generations foto which is in gallery 9.

MAY 12 : momma started working today, so i went to dagis all day long all by myself. it was great, but i think momma had a hard time, when she picked me up she would not stop hugging me!

MAY 11 : i went up with farmor to help take care of her sheep. i was lots of help, i bottle feed some of the lambs, gave bread to the bigger sheep, and pushed them all around to make sure they behaved. i had a really great time. then we stopped by isabella and alice´s house on the way home. it was good to see them again, it had been a really long time.

MAY 10 : we went to greatgrandma lisa´s house to help with the little bit that was left, she passed away while we were in honduras. i had so much fun with farmor and farfar pulling weeds and picking flowers, i am going to miss grandma lisa and visiting her house.

MAY 8 : after dagis today we went to visit mormor. it was the first i had been at her house since we got back she has been working very hard, it looks really nice. i love snuggling with mormor and riding in her swing.

MAY 5 : time for momma and daddy to start working again, today was my first day at dagis (swedish daycare). but mommy and daddy came with this week is called "inskoling" were i get used to daycare and it gets used to me, so i am only there for a couple of hours a

APRIL 30 : we had a barbeque at maya´s house, it was great playing with her again, i had really missed her, and i know momma had really missed monica. then we went down to the park because it was valborg´s afton, and they lit a really really big fire and then there were fireworks, i comforted bonita so she would not be scared.

APRIL 26 : before we went home to tyringe, we stopped of to see farmor´s sheep and i got to pet the baby lambs. they are sooooo cute.

APRIL 24-25 : flew out of new york late at night, the flights went well, only we were delayed and had to run to make our connection, and then daddy got mad at a security guy who seemed to be trying to show my daddy that he thought he was the boss, when everybody knows that my daddy is in charge! but we did make it, completely out of breathe, though our bags did not, so we still ended up waiting in copenhagen until they came in, because one of them was my carseat, and we couldn´t drive anywhere until i was safely strapped in! i think mommy and daddy were pretty tried by the time we got back to farmor and farfar´s house.

APRIL 20 : wow! we went to toys´r us, it was like going to amusement park i had tons of fun playing with all the toys. there were rows and rows of great stuff, even momma and daddy had fun, though i think they said it had something to do with the exchange rate.

APRIL 17-19 : it was quite a trip from pana to new jersey. they had changed our tickets without contacting us, though they did say they tried our home phone in sweden, you would think the tickets we had would clue them into the fact that we were not in sweden. so momma and papa spent our last day in guatemala trying to fix it and making sure i was with, they had change momma and papa´s tickets, but seemed to completely forgotten about me! anyway, we ended up having a layover in atlanta, and not getting into new york until the middle of the night, but i was such a trooper, i managed to find fun everywhere we went, even when the rental car lady wanted to charge twice as much as our reservation fees at 2 o´clock in the morning! after a crazy trip we finally made it to farbror fredrik and auntie zita´s house by early morning on the 19th, but then papa was hungry so we all piled back in the car and drove to burger king! what cool parents i have feeding me fast food at 3 o´clock in the morning! yah!

APRIL 15 : time to say good bye to even more friends, today was our last visit to isla verde. gave yago and anna big hugs goodbye. i had so much fun hanging out there with yago and the girls, i am really going to miss it.

APRIL 13 : yesterday we made it back to panajachel, it almost felt like coming home. today we took the chicken buses back to chichicastenengo, momma wanted to try and get some more pictures, she has really had bad luck with all her fotos from the market, but luckily the ones from today survived.

APRIL 11 : left utila on the early morning boat. momma and pappa were a little bit stupid and gave me milk in the morning, which of course i threw up all over them during the boat ride! then we took a taxi and then a bus, and made it all the way to santa rose de copan before the cigar store closed, so pappa was very happy he could buy all his cigars before we left central america.

APRIL 10 : last night in utila, so of course we had to eat at dave´s, chowed down on spareribs once again, my mom still finds it hard to believe that she could have given birth to such an avid meat eater! yum! we also had to say goodbye to all the great friends we had met on the island, i am going to miss them.

APRIL 8 : went to marion´s house, she is an instructor at the gunter´s diveshop. at her house i got to pet her horses, check out baby hummingbirds, and even see her sheep, they are not as fat as the ones farmor has though! marion is soooo cool!

LAST WEEK IN MARCH : suzi and mark, who we met at lake atitlan came out for a visit, i had so much fun playing with mark, he was one of the best babysitters i have ever had. we played when mommy, daddy, and suzi went diving. it was nice having them here cuz mom had to take time off work to play with us. we went to an open mike and i loved watching the musican and belly dancer. wow! we also took a small boat out to a small island near here and went swimming and played on the beach. we even found a small baby turtle, but we released it by the reef, i hope it made it. the boat ride back was really rough, we were all soaked, but i was so tired, i nearly slept the whole way back!

EARLY MARCH : been spending my days at the beach, playing with friends, running around having all kinds of fun, and swimming in the sea. it is a great life. mommy is working at the diveshop all the time, so daddy is taking good care of me. but sometimes daddy has to work too, so i go and play at the baby sitters house, everybody loves to play with me, cause i am the littlest.

FEBRUARY 28 : we settled down in utila quite quickly, found a house to rent, and mommy found a job at ecomarine, a mellow dive school here. she had been working nearly everyday, but today was her day off, so we went for a walk and walked to the east end of the island, and found a tiny little lizard. i even held it for a bit. it was cool!

FEBRUARY 7 : another long travel day, this time from western honduras all the way to la ceiba, where we were supposed to catch a ferry to utila. the ferry goes at 1600, and we arrived in town a few kilometers away at 1555, believe it or not, we crammed six adults, all our baggage and me into a small taxi and still made it on time. mommy and daddy were very happy. i had a great time on the ferry, i kept pointing at the ocean and saying "agua", the spanish word for water. first person we ran into on the island was my mommy and daddy's old instructor jungle jim. he is just as crazy as my parents had warned me.

FEBRUARY 6 : daddy went on a tour of the cigar factory here, but they would not let me in, so mommy and i played outside and waited for him. he came out with a big smile on his face, so i think he liked it.

FEBRUARY 5 : we were going to spend the day in esquipulas and go to a water park with kiddie rides and a petting zoo, but it turns out it was closed (despite what the lonely planet might have said), so we decided to head onto santa rosa de copan in honduras. everything went pretty well, made it across the border and made all the bus connections we needed to. it was only when we tried to get off the bus, they did not want us to because they thought we were going to the town the copan ruinas, (we were there in january with farfar and farmor) cause that is where all the tourists go. but luckily we got off at the right stop.

FEBRUARY 4 : after a couple of days in xela we headed back to pana, and then today we hopped back on the chicken buses and headed to guatemala city and then onto esquipulas, a town near the hondurian border. we had really good luck and got the front seats on all the buses, so we had plenty of leg room, very nice on a long bus ride, especially for daddy.

JANUARY 31 : thought we would check out a bit more of the country so we headed up to quelzaltenengo, better known as xela. took chicken buses the whole way, had to change a bunch of times, and mommy actually left her camera on one of them, but daddy and i ran back and got it before they drove away, mommy was very lucky.

JANUARY 30 : mommy went to the beauty shop and finally got her hair cut after years, and i wanted to get in on the action so i got my first haircut today! the lady who cut it was super nice and a really good sport considering how much i managed to wiggle about.

JANUARY 28 : when i was a month old, my mom finally gave in and gave me a binkie. well, today, i threw one away, and daddy did not have more with us, so my folks decided no more binkies for me. man, i am mad at them, sometimes they give in and i get one at night though.

JANUARY 25 : after a couple major shopping days in panajachel we took farmor, farfar, brita, and cege to the airport to say bye bye. now what i am going to do for attention? mommy and daddy were also able to finally pick up their computer from the repair shop. my luck has run out, going to have to find some more friends to play with.

JANUARY 17-20 : crossed over the border to copan, honduras. here we went horse riding again, but this time i rode with mommy, cuz daddy had a wild horse, then we went to a hot springs, i loved the hot water. we also went and looked at more really old, funny carved stones, and then we got to play with birds at macaw mountain.

JANUARY 15-16 : went to rio dulce and then onto livingston, where i got to go swimming in the carribbean ocean for the first time.

JANUARY 14 : after tikal we went to finca ixobel. it was a big farm with lots to do. today we went horseback riding. i rode with daddy. it was so much fun, everytime anyone mentions horse i bounce up and down like i am still on a horse.

JANUARY 12 : while staying in el remate, we went to tikal for the day, as daddy always says, a bunch of old stones. but we had lots of fun climbing on them and watching birds and monkeys, not to mention the huge trails of ants we kept coming across.

JANUARY 10 : farmor was sick, so we went to chichi again, but only with brita and cege, i made some local friends at breakfast and tried to help them sale their stuff to the tourists. then we took the night bus to flores, i had my own row, so i slept like the baby i am.

JANUARY 7 : farmor's birthday! we went out to breakfast to celebrate, and ran into an old friend of my parents, franz, with his girlfriend, anna. crazy surprise, my folks had not seen them in years. so while our four visitors had spanish lessons we went for a fika with franz and anna. anna and i had a great time looking at fish in the fishtank. then we had a yummy dinner looking over the lake and sang happy birthday to farmor.

JANUARY 6 : yipee! daddy went to the airport and came back with farmor and farfar, as well as their friends, brita and cege. more people for me to play with. life is good.

JANUARY 4 : a rough day for mommy and daddy. the computer crashed, went completely blank, and pappa had been editing a long film. mommy was happy she had just backed up all her photos, but a broken computer meant no more building websites, good for me, cuz then they both had more time to play with me!

JANUARY 2 : today was daddy's birthday and we moved back to panajachel, just in time, there was a really big wind storm and alot of guatemala was without electricity for days. it was a pretty exciting boat ride back from santa cruz, but somehow i managed to fall asleep during it.
