DECEMBER 31 : celebrated the new year with a big dinner down by the beach at islaverde. though i slept through most of it, i did get to see a few fireworks on the walk home.

DECEMBER 25 : christmas day, on the way to the hotel daddy and i picked lots of pretty flowers to put in my hair. then we had a delicious lunch buffet at the hotel. yago had a lot of fun hitting me with his new christmas toy, a hammer!

DECEMBER 24 : julafton (christmas eve), daddy made a really nice dinner at the hotel, meanwhile yago and i played like crazy, we even drove some of the hotel guests crazy. i also went with yago and ana to a christmas party, where i ate lots of yummy food.

DECEMBER 19 : moved back to santa cruz cuz mommy and daddy helped ana with her hotel while her some of her staff was gone for the holidays. our first day "on the job" went very well, that is until the mountainside next to islaverde caught on fire at 2230! it was huge! mommy, daddy, and ana did not get very much sleep, but luckily islaverde survived with hardly a scratch.

DECEMBER 16 : we took a day trip to one of guatemala's biggest markets, chichicastenango. it was really colorful, and we saw lots and lots of people. i had a great time flirting with everybody on the chicken buses. mommy was really sad because the her memory card got messed up, and she lost all her photos from today, but daddy made a short video you can see in my video galleries.

DECEMBER 13 : moved back to panajachel, we rented a nice apartment for a few days, but the balcony has really open railings, so i like to give mommy and daddy a heart attack whenever i go near them, especially since the apartment is on the 2nd floor.

DECEMBER 6 : another trip to pana for more food. only this time on the way back the waves were really bad and mommy and i got soaking wet on the ride back to santa cruz. mommy said she really enjoyed walking up the hill back to the house soaking wet, i do not think she meant it. then she dropped the eggs on the way back too, so no omelette for me tomorrow!

DECEMBER 2 : the only problem with living in santa cruz is there are no stores, so we have to go into pana to go grocery shopping. today the whole family went. daddy got a shave, and we went to the market. so many yummy veggies. sometimes it is annoying having to wait a long time for the boats, but we made it back before dark.

NOVEMBER 29 : we moved again, this time to a cosy casita. there is a big outdoor area for me to play in and there are a couple of dogs nearby that like to come by cause i am so good at feeding them! there is even a playground behind the casita, and i i love playing there with miles, the neighbor boy. i especially like the sandbox. the casita is surrounded by jungle, lots of places for me to explore.

NOVEMBER 23 : we moved from pana, to ana's hotel in santa cruz. it is really nice, and the views are terrific. take a look at ana's hotel islaverde. i am having a great time playing with yago, ana's two year old boy!

NOVEMBER 18 : took a boat across the lake to another village called san pedro. just wanted to check it out. we ran into an old friend of mommy's there, ana. they had not seen each other since thailand 6 years ago! she has an hotel in another village on the lake we are going to go and visit them there soon, maybe even spend christmas there.

NOVEMBER 17 : the weather here is very warm during the day, but not too hot, but to cool off we went swimming in the lake today. i think i would like to be a fish when i grow up. splish splash!

NOVEMBER 16 : after a few days in antigua, we headed for panajachel, a really cute town on lake attitlan. the bus ride was really winding, and i did very good until about 20 minutes before we arrived, then i threw up all over me and my daddy! luckily it was pretty easy to clean up and i got to go around in just my diaper for a bit, which i always enjoy. we found a great little apartment here where we can stay for a week.

NOVEMBER 14 : we had a pretty late start today because mommy and daddy were so tired after getting almost no sleep yesterday. but we had a very exciting breakfast. not only did i finally figure out how to drink out of a straw but i even had my first earthquake! it was just a little one we could barely feel, but it was pretty exciting all the same. then in the afternoon we had a bit of a tour, we went to a coffee plantation and macadamian nut farm, as well as a couple of villages near antigua.

NOVEMBER 13 : flew to guatemala, which was not as easy as we thought, the lady at the gate in atlanta, where we had a layover, said we could not go because our tickets were longer than 90 days, and we needed to have a visa. mommy and daddy tried to explain that we would be travelling around to different countries so we actually did not need one, but she would not budge. luckily there was a very nice lady at the service desk that helped us sort it out, and off we went. once in guatemala things were easy as pie and we just took a taxi to antigua and found a nice little place to stay.

NOVEMBER 8-12 : spent a long weekend with uncle dan and auntie efrat out on long island. we had a great time, went for walks on the beach, visited parks, went shopping, and ate great food. cannot wait to see them again in april.

NOVEMBER 8 : we had crazy trip to new york. first the train in tyringe was late, so we missed our connection, so we got to the airport late. there they would not accept our ticket but time was running out so they gave us something temporary, and said we had to fix our ticket in frankfurt. when we got to frankfurt, they said the people in copenhagen were crazy and that our ticket was fine. mommy and daddy were a bit annoyed that we almost missed our flight because of the mess. but from frankfurt on it was a nice trip. we even met some really interesting people on the subways in new york. i of course charmed everyone whose path we crossed.

NOVEMBER 7 : farmor and farfar came up for dinner, to say goodbye and to pick up bonita. i think they are going to miss me alot too.

NOVEMBER 6 : went to mormor's house for dinner tonight, she and mommy made a big chinese dinner, i loved the egg rolls, they were so yummy. said goodbye to mormor, i think she is going to miss me alot.

NOVEMBER 2 : starting to get ready to go, but today was fun because maya and monica came over for our last playdate of the year. i am going to miss them, and i know my mommy is too, but they are moving into a new house next month, cannot wait to and visit them there when we get back from central america.

OCTOBER 31 : daddy's last day of work was today, so we walked down and met him there. bonita was very naughty and pooped i the warehouse! then that evening, farbror johan came down to stay for a few days. it was great, i did not remember him because i had not seen him since i was about a month old, but it did not take very long for me to warm up to him. he even gave me a beautiful necklace with a heart and ruby (my birthstone). such a nice farbror. i know my parents were very happy to see him after all these months.

OCTOBER 29 : today was mommy's last day at work, which meant this was my last day with mormor. every monday and thurs since the summer we have been hanging out and having lots of laughs. going to miss going to grandma's house.

OCTOBER 21 : the next day was mathilda's first birthday. i ate 5 whole soy hotdogs and manage to fall off every kiddie chair around. but we had a lot of fun, and then we went to farmor and farfars for dinner with emma and moa and their folks, i was so full by the end of day!

OCTOBER 20 : headed back down south so that mommy and daddy could finally finished painting emma and moa's house. now it is very pretty and white.

OCTOBER 14 : went up to the community farm, otto-pers gård, with farmor, farfar, and mommy. i played with all the sheep. they were really fuzzy. i even got to pet some baby chicks that were not very old at all. but all the ducks ran away from me, but they were fun to look at. then we went into lund to meet daddy, cause he was working there. he even let me help drive the lift!

OCTOBER 13 : my second cousin kajsa had her second birthday, so we headed down to malmo for the party. now that i am getting to be a big girl, i can play with my bigger cousins, linea and kajsa.

OCTOBER 10 : fall is definately here! today mommy and i raked up all the leaves in the front yard into a big pile, then mommy let me play in them. but i got a little scared after a bit because the pile was so big and i am kinda little.

OCTOBER 7 : mommy and daddy finally took me to the swim hall again. a bunch of the other kids from our foräldrar group were there too. we had a great time splashing about, mommy even took a picture of daddy and me underwater.

OCTOBER 3 : today i got to follow with mommy to work she had to take some photos, and have a meeting with the boss. i had alot of fun running around the office with bonita, though mommy seemed to think i was a bit disruptive, but of course she could not be mad, all i had to do was turn on the charm.

SEPTEMBER 21 : mommy and daddy were working out at this really nice park by a castle called hovdala, so i got to spend the day with farfar, and we took all the doggies out and had lunch with mommy and daddy by the bridge. it was really pretty and lots of fun to run around in the tall grass with the doggies. i had a great time making a mess eating my pizza! yum!

SEPTEMBER 14-16 : headed down south to the cousins for the weekend cause mommy and daddy helped paint emma and moa's house. i got to play with them and hang out a lot with farmor and farfar. we also went to alice's house on the 16th for her first birthday party, but mommy and daddy painted too long and we were really, really late, good thing alice's parents are so nice!

SEPTEMBER 9 : an old school friend of daddy's, johan came up for a little visit with his family, madde and simon. daddy had a lot of fun meeting old friends at fredrik and rita's wedding last july, that is how he ran into johan after all these years. simon is there baby boy, he is a few months younger than me, but he had so much hair and was super cute!

SEPTEMBER 3 : my mommy works three days a week so i spend two days with mormor and one day with farmor and farfar. today i was at mormor´s and i pointed outside and said "out". it was time to go on the swing and i just thought i would let mormor know. this talking thing might just work out for me, cause she took me out on the swing right away!

LATE AUGUST : my vocabulary has really been picking up. My folks decided my first word was "kolla" which means "check it out" in swedish, because i say it all the time. but latey i have been saying mama and papa a lot too.

AUGUST 14 : i give this a second entry because tessie deserves to have her own, but to cheer us all up, daddy took me on my very first bike ride today. it was alot of fun, and i look oh so cool in my new pink helmut. you can check me out in my one year gallery.

AUGUST 14: this was a very sad day for the whole family. we had to put our dear snuggly tessie to sleep. she was old and was ready, but we were all so sad to have to say good-bye. i did my absolute best to give her as many snuggles as i could and try to make everybody smile. i will miss her, but am so happy i was able to play with her this last year.

AUGUST 12: mommy finally convinced daddy to take a proper family photo can see it in my one year gallery.

EARLY AUGUST: after flirting with walking for months now, i finally decided enough was enough and just started walking. mom says i am so good at walking because i waited so long after being able to walk to actually start walking, i think that just sounds silly.

AUGUST 1: my daddy started at a new job and was away for over a week so it was just my mom and me and the doggies of course, we had fun but we missed daddy.

JULY 28: had my third birthday party today! yippee! lucky me! this one was for my friends. we played with all my new toys, ran around in the yard and had a bbq. we even had a fishing pond. i think my parents think i have had enough birthday parties for a few years, yeah right!

JULY 22: my birthday! that is right, i became a big one year old today! to celebrate we had a big family party for me, all my grandparents and many more came to share my big day with me. i got alot of really great presents, but being the food queen that i am, the cake was my favorite part!

JULY 21: auntie rita and farbror fredrik got married today, so i got to play all day with farmor and farfar. mommy and daddy got home from the party so late that i slept in the basement all night with farmor and farfar. my first whole night not in the same room as my mom, think it was a lot harder on her than me!

JULY 18: my mom and i picked a bunch of blueberries in the forest and made blueberry muffins. i of course mostly just ate them and managed to get blue polka dots all over my face. kids just want to have fun!

JULY 17: so early in the morning my daddy took off with fredrik for his bachelor´s party, and i got to join in my first bachelorette party! i think my mommy only let me join in because it was a pretty mellow one. we went swimming and strung beads and even went for a tips wander in our yard, but best of all, rita made us yummy pizza for dinner!

JULY 16: aunty rita and farbror fredrik from new jersey came for a visit. it was great seeing them again i had so much fun with them in may. we had a fun night but the best we saved for the next day.

JULY 15: my cousins emma and moa, and their mommy and daddy came up for an early birthday party for me, because they were going to be away for my birthday. moa sat in the gåstol and really seemed to like it! we posed for a cousin picture and i was super silly.

JULY 10 : my folks were working down in malmö, so we stayed with farfar and farmor for a few days. my cousins emma and moa even came over for dinner, and we had a great time hanging out.

JULY 5 : i had my first bad fever, was really sick for a few days, but i pulled through. my parents think i am a great kid cause i did not even complain too much!

JUNE 30 : our foräldrar group had a bbq, almost everyone was able to come. it was a lot of fun playing with all of adam´s toys with everybody.

JUNE 22 : for midsummers mama, papa, me and the doggies all went out in the forest and picked chanterelles. we found lots and lots! i love eating them, they are soooo yummy!

JUNE 17 : my cousin moa had her christening. so i got to see most of my swedish side of the family. i even had a quick dip in the pool with my cousin emma, but it was too cold.

JUNE 16 : went to my second wedding! our neighbors got married, it was a lot of fun. the bride even rode up on her motorcycle with a wedding veil on her helmut!

MAY 25: had my first ride on a carousel. i even held onto the horse all by myself while it went around. it was a fun ride. we met up for tyringe days with most of the mommies and other kids from our parent group. was great to see everyone again.

MAY 22-24: mom and dad had work in stockholm so they brought me with. the pump broke down one afternoon, so we even had time to walk around the old town. lots of big old buildings and very pretty.

MAY 16: time to go home to sweden again, but it was really nice to see the dogs, tessie and bonita, as well as my grandparents again.

MAY 15: my aunt ashley and uncle nathan were in new york with my cousins hayle and paige so we managed to meet up with them, have a bit of fun, and play catch up. hayle and paige are my first american cousins i have been able to meet. i cannot wait to meet the rest of them.

MAY 14: we went to see the statue of liberty. i slept on the boat ride, but we had a blast in new york with mommy, daddy, and of course farbror fredrik!

MAY 11: headed off to new jersey to meet up with farbror fredrik and auntie rita, who are getting married the day before my first birthday. they let us stay in their apartment and even fed me sushi!

MAY 9: i chilled out in central park and did my best to eat all my daddy´s ice cream! yum! check me out in the gallery.

MAY 5: not only did i get to meet two of my mom´s favorite people in the whole world, efrat and jennifer, but i had a great time at efrat and dan´s wedding. you can even see me chewing down on the indian food they served in my new york photo gallery.

MAY 2: i am getting to be quite the world traveler, today we flew to the big apple! that is right little zoe made it to new york city! yipee!

MAY 1 : saw my very first huge bonefire when we went down to the park for Valborg´s afton. oooh that was big! and hot too.

APRIL 29: had my first swing ride when we went to visit my cousins and their folks where they camp out every summer. it was a lot of fun.

APRIL 25: we flew back to sweden, but not before we had a stopover in italy where i had my first taste of real italian pizza! i was very excited to get back to sweden where i met my new cousin, moa, for the first time, there is even a pic of my and my cousins in my photo gallery.

APRIL 22: left dahab today, i miss it, but i am glad to be back in sweden too. we had quite the adventure of a bus ride from dahab to cairo though. about 3 am the bus broke down in the middle of the desert. they made us get out and wait for over an hour and a half for another bus to come.

APRIL 16: i took a step today. we were at a restaurant and i just thought it seemed like a good time to walk on the bench from my mommy to my daddy on the sofa.

APRIL 12 : when my daddy came back to egypt we went to the beach alot. today i held onto my daddy all by myself while he swam us around in the chilly red sea.

MARCH 16 : my little cousin moa was born in sweden! yipee! my daddy got to hold her and told me she was very cute.

MARCH 15 : my daddy went back to sweden for two weeks. this was my first time being away from him for a long time. i really missed him.

MARCH 9 : had my first candy. the guy at the barber shop gave me a lollipop, oooh was it good. i managed to suck it down to almost nothing, and became very sticky in the process!

MARCH 2 : i have been flirting with crawling for two months now, but today i just up and went properly on my hands and knees, though i keep thinking it is much more fun to crawl on my hands and feet. my mom and dad think i look silly when i do.

FEBRUARY 18 : i waved for the first time today. not the most coordinated wave, but a wave all the same.

FEBRUARY 16 : went and saw the pyramids and the sphinx! that was pretty exciting, they are pretty big. and as frosting on the cake, my second little tooth decided to pop its little head up today.

FEBRUARY 14 : flew back to egypt, but this time we flew to cairo. what a big city! the flights went well for me, but poor mom got food poisioning and threw up the whole way! though we had a bit of excitement earlier in the day, as we got stuck in a elevator at the train station while on our way to the airport. it was only for about 10 minutes, but needless to say my folks were beginning to get nervous when they finally got us out.

FEBRUARY 12 : my first little tooth decided to pop up right before we left for egypt! my parents were a bit worried about traveling with me as i got a bit of a fever and was not so happy about the discomfort my new tooth was causing me, but luckily it only was a couple days and then i was fine again!

February 6 : i met my first horse! we went with our neighbors to their stables. i was not afraid at all, i even got to sit on top of greven (that´s the horse) but of course my dad held onto me.

FEBRUARY 5 : i tried eating fish for the first time today, i think it was a much bigger thing for my vegetarian mother than for me though. i had salmon and it was so yummy!

JANUARY 22 : for my 6th months day, my folks let me out in the snow to play with dogs! what great fun that was, good thing they bundled me up extra warm.

JANUARY 19 : my parents are trying to teach me a bit of sign language, and today was the first time i actually signed back something that looked like the sign for "all done!".

JANUARY 12 : my cousin emma had a party for her 7th birthday. i had a great time and charmed the pants off of everybody. emma had even made me a place setting with my own name card!

JANUARY 7 : Went to my first christening, it was for jessica and christer´s youngest daughter mathilda. it just happened to be my farmor´s birthday as well, so it was quite the social day!

JANUARY 4 : my mom and dad´s package from nepal arrived and i got my very own "TOE EXTREME OUTERWEAR" reversible fleece! i love it, it is so warm and cozy, and of course i look great in it!

JANUARY 2 : crawled for the first time, though it was not very far and only backwards but i seem to be getting the hang of moving. that was my daddy´s birthday present from me!
